FAR EAST CONFLICT
MEETING AT BRUSSELS. JOINT DECLARATION. CHINA’S ACCEPTANCE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph .—Copyright.) Received November 25, 9.35 a.m. BRUSSELS, Nov. 24.
The Chinese delegate, Dr Wellington Koo, to-day accepted ' the joint declaration of the Powers, but deplored the failure of the conference to -take concerted action to restore peace.
Mr Norman Davis (United States) emphasised that the conference was merely going into recess. It would resume its peace efforts later. He was going to the United States to consult his Government regarding the next steps to be taken. Mr Davis declined Mr Chamberlain’s invitation to visit London to continue the Far East discussions. He said: “I am hurrying home for personal reasons.”
