CHRISTMAS MAILS.
IMPERIAL AIRWAYS’ SERVICE
LONDON, Nov. 22,
The aeronautical correspondent of the Times states that two flying boats, ea«h capable of carrying five, tons, which carried out the experimental flights across the Atlantic, will be used bv Imperial Airways to help carry Christmas mails to Africa. Other additional flying boats will also participate. There will be no extra services to Karachi, as the carrying capacity on that route has been increased by the substitution of flying boats for land aeroplanes, but two extra liners will fly to Singapore and one extra to Akyab. It is likely that the two Qantas services between Singapore and Brisbane will be duplicated.
