PERSONAL.
Three constables now at the Taranaki Street Police Station, Wellington, are at present under transfer to Palmerston North. They are Constables F. O. Steffenson, J. A. Hall and C. W. Haresnape. The election of the P. and T. Employees’ Association officers yesterday resulted: —President, Mr G. A. Wilkes, Oamaru; executive committee, Messrs S. Slather, Auckland; T. Falconer, Hastings; J. Churchill, Wellington; W. Huntington, Palmerston North; H. J. Palmer. J. Qlliver, Tirnaru; W. Cummins, Wellington; J. McLay, Napier. i. The death occurred suddenly in Auckland yesterday of Mr Edward Collins, District Public Trustee in Nelson. Mr Collins had come to Auckland to attend the funeral of his sister, Miss Amelia Collins; and had just arrived from Nelson when he collapsed and died in a few minutes. He was well known throughout the Dominion, having been in the Public Trust for some years.
