MUNICIPAL BAND.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
The Feilding Municipal Band Coni' mittec met last evening, when the Mayor (Mr T. Collins) presided over a good attendance. Arrangements were made for the band to give a programme at the forthcoming race meeting in Feilding. Mr Collins, intimated that a platform would be erected for tlxe band. Advice was received that the new instruments on order would arrive next month. It was decided that the exact date of their arrival be ascertained in order to allow arrangements to be made for a suitable function to mark the occasion. A number of letters with donations enclosed were acknowledged. The conductor (Mr J. L. Fleetwood) reported that the contest music had arrived and members were practising in earnest; good progress was being made. Subject to minor alterations the condition of the uniforms was stated to be good. March practises were being conducted under SergeantMajor R. A. Levy and it was proposed to mark out a contest course at Kowliai Park '
