NOTES.
A euchre and dance gathering, conducted by the Foresters’ Lodge proved most successful. The prizewinners were Mesdnmes James and Fraser (equal first) and Messrs S. Fisher and J. Edhouse. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss J. Towlor and Mr Gupwell. Mr P. Jaggard was M.C. On Thursday the Thorndon Bowling Club is to pay its annual visit to the Oroua Bowling Club. The Feilding Pipe Band held its annual church parade at St. Paul’s Prcsbyterin.n Church on Sunday morning. The preacher was Rev. A. L. Dixon, who welcomed the hand members. After the service the hand played “Abide With Me.” A big attendance is anticipated at the Majestic Theatre on Wednesday evening for tho nigger minstrel show and community sing. Messrs Haycock and Currie have left no stone unturned to ensure a bright entertainment.
