IMPERIAL PREFERENCE.
NO SURRENDER BY AUSTRALIA. Received November 23, 12.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 23. The Federal Prime .Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, stated to-day that a trade agreement between America and Britain would /not mean the abandonment of the principle of Imperial preference. Australia would surrender no advantage in the British market without compensating concessions.
