SERVICE IN REGENT’S PARK. LONDON, Nov. 12. A non-military Armistice Day service was held in Regent’s Park. It was attended by ex-servicemen without medals and prominent persons not approving of a militarist display. The gathering vowed that the the war dead would not be repudiated, A Daily Herald article contributed by Mr Hannen Swaffer suggested that the Armistice service should be stopped. ALBERT HALL SERVICE. FESTIVAL OF REMEMBRANCE. LONDON, Nov. 12. Their Majesties and Queen Mary were present at the British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Albert Hall. They joined in the singing of “Tipperary” and “Pack Up Your Troubles” with 9000 ex-servicemen and women, who were thrilled when 1,104,830 poppy petals, representing the number of the Empire’s dead, fell from the roof.
