PREMISES RAIDED.
CASE AT WELLINGTON
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. *3O. Six Chinese arrested on Saturday evening as the result of a raid on premises in Haining Street described as an opium den were fined amounts totalling £207 10s bv the Magistrate (Air E. Stillwell) to-day. The police found the premises heavily barricaded with timber and sheet iron, requiring ten minutes’ hard work with .an axe and crowbar to effect an entrance.
