(From Oar Own Correspondent.) OTAKI. Aug. 23. A meeting of the building committee of the Otaki Borough Council and ‘Messrs Mason and Nafusch (architect) met at Otaki last evening when building plans in connection with the proposed municipal theatre were finalised, and all detail work completed. Mrs N. Williams, who has been on holiday in Marton, returned to Otaki yesterday. Miss Jean McKenzie, of Featherston, is spending a holiday at Otaki Beach as the guest of Mre ft. Duncan. Mr F. W. G. Rule left for the south last night on account of the illness of his mother. News has been received that Mr and Mrs Simons have been' enjoying a caravan tour in the south of England. When last heard of they were at Exeter, and later intended visiting Scotland by way of the East Coast. Thev leave on September 25. Miss Swabcy, who left England with her cousin. Miss Keeling, of Karon, in March, is having an enjovablc time in England and Scotland with a car and camping outfit. Mr and Mrs P. Ferguson, accompanied by Mr and Mrs S. Whiteman, have returned from a motor tour of the South Island.
