FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
LOYAL MANAWATU LODGE. At .the quarterly summoned meeting of Loyal Manawatu Lodge , held on Thursday, 'invitations were received from Loyal Kimbolton and Manchester. Lodges .to their installations of officers, both being accepted. An inviation from the U.A.O.D. Lodge to a social evening was also accepted. Bro Carrol presented the sick visitors’ report, which was of’ a favourable character. A - letter of congratulation is to bo forwarded to a brother and sister of Manawatu Lodge, who were married during the past week. Eive candidates were initiated into the Order. Bro. W. A. Price, P.G., reported on a visit paid to a sister lodge at Levin, at which lie received arid returned fraternal greetings. Accounts amounting to £192 were passed lor payment, the major part of this amount being for medical benefits and sick pay. Members of the Provincial Lodge of Past Grands were requested by Bro. A. D. Dawick, M.W.M., to take part in the visit to Loyal Manchester Lodge on tho date previously arranged. After supper, bowls and table tennis were engaged in by a number of teams.
