Brilliant sunshine favoured the one-day August meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club to-day, when there was an attendance of 12,000. The track was in good order. The totalisator handled £34,913 10s, compared with £20,919 last year, an increase of £13,994 10s. Results: INTRODUCTORY HANDICAP, of £200; 3.49 class. One mile and a half.

Lady Fame took charge after going half a mile from Kewpie’s King, Ironside, Our McKinney and Nervie’s Last. Lady Fame paced freely to the end and won easily all the way from Kewpie’s King, with three-quarters of a length to Our McKinney, Nervio’s Last being fourth. GREY LYNN HANDICAP, of £200; 3.38 class. After Kcwpic’s King and Gold Dredge in turn had made the pace to the straight, Our McKinney who had followed the loaders practically throughout, moved up past the stands to win by a neck from Kewpie’s King with half-lengths between the latter, Nervie’s Last and' Gold Dredge.
