POTATO EXPORTS.

MARKED INCREASE. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Aug. 30. The Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage)-, who arrived this morning, gave some interesting figures of New Zealand’s potato exports to South Arnenca in the last two vears. While 1936 saw 4711 tons exported to Uruguay and Argentina, the total for 1937 is 15.580 tons, valued at £131,357. Lyttelton sent 9217 tons, Timaru 5518, Oamaru 755 and other ports 90 tons.
