HOCKEY TOURNAMENT.
WIN FOR HIGH SCHOOL

AUCKLAND, Aug. 30
The first secondary schools’ hockey tournament to be held in New Zealand commenced this morning at Remuera. Eight teams from Hamilton, Palmerston North, the Wairarapa, Wanganui, Stratford and Auckland competed. First round results are as follow:
Palmerston North High School 7 beat Hamilton Technical 0; Auckland Grammar 6 beat Wairarapa High 1; Mt. Albert Grammar 2 beat Wanganui Technical 1; Stratford High 12 beat Auckland Grammar B 1.
