WIN FOR PALMERSTON NORTH. MATCH WITH LEVIN. An interesting match eventuated when the Palmerston North Golf Club met the Levin club in! a fixture over the week-end. The A team played on the new links at, West End. In spite of a prevailing strong southerly wind and the fact that there was very little run, the course conditions were very good, and players had an enjoyable day’s golf. ’Tlie visiting Levin players commented favourably on the possibilities of the course, on which they were playing for the first time. In thoir opinion the? timo was not far off when the Awatapu links would favourably compare witli any other course in tho Do minion.

The honours in the singles went to Palmerston North by 7 games to 4, with one halved, and the four-hall matches resulted in each side winning three.
