FOXTON BEACH HIGHWAY.
QUESTION OF SEALING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON. Aug. 27. At a mooting of the Foxton Chamber of Commerce the question of the FoxtonBcach highway wan again discussed. A statement was made at (ho last meeting by a member who had interviewed the engineer to the Manawatu County Council that the road was to be definitely sealed before Christmas. It was abo pointed out that this promise bad been made last year and only four months remained before the end of the present year, and hardly anything had yet been done to prepare the road for sealing. It was decided to write to the department with a view to arranging for the visit of a deputation next month failing a definite assurance being obtained in the meantime.
