RANGITIKEI.
MARTON, July 23. Last evening two teams from the Marton Miniature Rifle Club journeyed to Ohakea for the purpose to fire against the Bulls Club for the Clifite-Remington and McKelvio Cups. Bulls won by 42 points. This is the seventeenth consecutive win for the Bulls Club in the McKelvie Cup contest and they now equal the Ohakea Club’s record. Mr A. Henwood, sole selector for the Rangitikei Rugby Union, has'chosen the following team to play Taihape next Wednesday. Full-back: H. Taiuru; threequarters, Culpan, Orgias, Campbell; fiveeighths, Williams, Lawrence; half-back, Bonding; back of scrum, Pye; middle row, Walker, Blair, Larsen, James; front row, Potaka. McDonald. Davies. Reserves: J. Powell, Bridge, Hallamore. Coles. Dallas was not available. The Rangitikei Rugby referees met laal evening, when Mr G. Thomson occupied the chair. Mr N. Cairncross wrote with reference to ordering off a Turakina junior player. It was. reported that the player concerned had been stood down for the remainder of the season by the Rugby Union It was the consensus of opinion that should a Rangitikei referee order a Wanganui player off the field during the progress of the “Moye” scheme, the referee should attend the meeting of metropolitan union where the player is dealt with, providing the union bear the cost in volved in transport
