ANNULMENT SUIT.
WIFE DENIES CHARGES. Received July 24, 10.15 a.m. HOLLYWOOD, July 23. Miss Patricia Worth denied in Court that her marriage to Mr George Brent, the film actor, had not complied with the Mexican law. She said that two friends had been witnesses; also that she and Mr Brent had lived as man and wife. A cable from Hollywood on July 10 stated that Mr George Brent bad announced that he would seek an annulment of his marriage with Miss Const a nee Worth (Jocelyn Howorth), the Australian actress, which took place about a month ago. Brent said that the Mexican marriage laws were not observed. Friends said the couplo had lived together for 10 days when they decided “we were not meant for each other.”
