SPRINGBOKS MATCH
CLOSING OF RETAIL SHOPS. At a meeting of Palmerston North retailers, this morning, Mr K. A. Henderson presiding, the question of closing shops for the Rugby match, Manawatu v. Springboks, on August 4, was discussed, and it was resolved to recommend the Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansford) to declare a holiday from 1.30 p.m. to 4.15 p.m. on that day.
