HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR FAIR. The monthly’ meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Women’s Auxiliary was held in the City Council Chambers yesterday afternoon, Mrs M. Aitchison presiding. Also present were Mesdames A. E. Mansford, J. A. Nash, F. G. Murphy, A. Grigor, S. J. Parkes, A. M. Wilson, M. Ashworth, J. Barsanti, W. M. Huntington, Misses Clark and M. McLagan. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames W. M. Richardson, J. Stone, F. Bennett and Miss V. A. Kelly. The president expressed sympathy with Miss J. McGhie, matron of the Hospital, in her serious illness, and hopes were expressed for her rapid re-1 turn to health.
Mesdames Huntington and Grigor were elected delegates to attend a meeting to be held next month to consider the proposal to erect a meeting hall adequate for the needs of women’s organisations in the city. Arrangements in connection with the fair to be held early next month were finalised.
