CRICKET.
PUBLIC SERVICE CLUB. In view of liis approaching marriage, Mr G. Packer was met by members of the Public Service Cricket Club, last evening, and presented with an electric bedside reading lamp. Mr M. Barltrop made the presentation and extended to the recipient the club’s best wishes for his future happiness. Mr Packer suitably replied. Another member of the club, Mr Lawton, who was married recently, was also honoured when Mr Barltrop presented him with a similar gift, accompanying which were the club’s wishes for his happiness.
