FIRE AT HOSPITAL.
MENTAL PATIENTS EVACUATED. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH. July 20. A fire occurred at about 11 p.m. at the Sea view Mental Hospital, Hokitika, in the billiard room. The staff brigade effected a creditable save, also evacuating a score of patients sleeping in the adjacent section ward. The structure was extensively damaged. The Hokotika Eire Brigade later aided in getting the tire completely under control Nobody was injured. The damage has not yet been computed.
