AWAHURI.
Miss 13. Hancock and Mr K. Whisker, who were married on Saturday, were recently entertained at a kitchen evening. Miss Y. Bennett and Mr M. Bennett provided the music for the dancing. Items wore given as follow: —Mrs J. Lucas (humorous sketches), Mr Algie (songs, accompanied by Miss J. McCallum): Mr It. Bond (songs, accompanied by Miss Y. Bennett). The lucky spot waltz was won by Miss V. Whisker and Mr C. Parker. Mr A. Bond eonveyod good wishes to the guests and asked them to accept the array of presents. Mesdames E. O. Bond, Nicholson, Christian and Rowlands and helpers were in charge of the Bupper arrangements.
The To Kawau Girls* Hockey Club recently hold an enjoyable euchre and dance. .The euchre prizes were won by Mrs Campbell 1 and Mrs Dyer 2, tho men’s being awarded to Mr I>. Oke 1 and Mr J. Montgomerie 2. Tho Lucky Gay Gordons were u.7on by Mr Bracken and Miss D. Campbell, tho Monle Carlo by Mr W. Manson and Mrs F. Brock, and the lucky spot by Mr N. Bracken and Miss J. Richfield. Mrs L. Okc is visiting her sister, Mrs K. Waterson. at Linton.
