LINTON INSTITUTE.
The July meeting of the - nstitute was presided over hy Mrs Harrison. Jliss Young (secretary) read the correspondence, which included a letter from Miss Johnson, of Massey College, giving a description of her travels abroad:' Mrs T. Lynch reported on tho group . rally meeting at Tokomaru. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mcsdaincs Hillas and McJlahon. The drama circle reported that gcod progress was being made with the production of a play and arrangements were finalised to stage it, at an entertainment at an early date. Tho garden eirc.e convenor, Mrs A. Batchelar, reported that good progress was being made, and a flower sli,ow in September bad been arranged. A vote of thanks was extended to Mrs White for the beautiful work she had dono by band printing programmes of the institute’s mootings for this year. The competition for a bowl of mixed flowers was won by Jlrs Irvine, Mrs McMahon being second and Mrs D. Currin third.
