MAORI’S BRAVERY.
FOUGHT FJRE IN BUNKER. SYDNEY, July 19. Aboard the new trawler Saint Lolan due at Sydney to-night from England, is a Maori. Mr Para Amahana, who, in consequence of his father’s death, is returning to New Zealand to rule his trihe of a thousand. Mr Para Amahana, according to the Sun, displayed conspicuous bravery during a fire in the Saint Lolan’s bunkers between Dakar and Capetown. He, with tlie chief engineer, descended Into the bunker and assisted in fighting the outbreak. Mr Amahana left New Zealand six years ago and has since worked in North London.
