SHOOTING AT BISLEY.
THE EMPIRE MATCH. Received July 26, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, July 19. The Empire match at Bisley, which Australia and Britain have won four times each, opened in a flood light with little wind. The conditions are ten shots at 300, 500 and 600 yards shot to-day, and 800, f£o and 1000 yards to-morrow. At the end of the 300 yards shoot Australia and Britain were level with 374. Canada and India, the only other competitors, had scored 365. A magnificent teams shoot at 500 yards, at which the first four dropped only four points and two made the possible, gave Australia the lead with 387 and an aggregate of-761. Britain had scored 756, Canada 7'4 and India 732. The day’s aggregates were: Australia, 1131; Britain,. 1121; Canada, 1116; India, 1091.
