COLYTON, ‘ July 19. bliss Freda Wrigley, who lias been on an extended holiday with Mr and Mis B McLeod, “Totnranui,” returned toiler home at the week-end, accompanied by her parents, Mr and Mrs F. G. Wrigley, of Rangitumau. Mr and Mrs W. W. Bussell. “Gitlshaync," have returned from a holiday visit to Wellington. Miss W. Wales was also a visitor to Wellington. Mr and Mrs Peat Milne, of Opalui, aro at present the guests of Mr and blrs C. P. Fitzwater. Waiata. Mrs Millie, senr., who lias also been their guest, has returned to her home, “Lake Road,” Ilawera. Mr and Mrs G. L. Jensen are on a motor lour of the Auckland district. Mr and Mrs Eric Knucky, of Eltliam, are visitors to “Glenbourno” as the guests of Mr and Mrs Noel Shortall. Rev. A. 11. Scrivin, general secretary of tho foreign mission department of the Methodist Church, recently gave an interesting address on the Western Solomon Islands Mission. He detailed the activities in connection with tho hospitals_ and schools. He thanked tho Colyton friends for the help they had rendered during the year. Rev. J. 11. Allan called on Mr W. j. Smith, chairman of tho local Methodist Church Committee, who expressed the thanks of those present to Mr Scrivin and trusted that the same support, would be accorded from this district in the coming year.
