ATTITUDE TO LIFE. BISHOP’S QUESTIONNAIRE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 19. To ascertain the attitude of modern youth to eucli major problems of life as religion, sex, drink and gambling, a list of questions is to be circulated among young people of all social classes in tlie AV-ellington Diocese by tlie Bisbop (Rt. Rev. H. St. B. Holland). The questionnaire was drafted by the Diocesan A’outli Council and was today presented to the Synod, which approved the proposal. About two thousand copies of the questionnaire are to be distributed immediately. Tlie list of questions is as follows: Please tell me your name and address (if you would like to) and age .and occupation. AA'hat do you think the Church (a-) is; (1>) ought to be? Is there any place for it in the life of the community? Is there any place in the life of the community for public worship? Do you attend? Does it help you? Alight it if differently conducted? — Any suggestions. Do you know anything of the Bible? AA’hat do you think of it? AA'hat idea does the term “prayer” call up in your mind? Js there anything in prayer? AA’hat do you know about Christ? How did you come by your knowledge ? AVh.it do you think of Him ? Do you think there is a Gnd? AA’hat sort of being is He? Does our attitude to Him matter much? Aro there any real standards of right and wrong? AVhy do we call one thing right and another wrong? AA’hat is the l>as:6 of our moral standards? t AVliat would you consider roughly right or wrong about (a) telling the truth or not? (b) unselfishness? (c) justice? (d) sex intercourse? (e) divorce? (f) drunkenness? (g) gambling? AA’hat are the things, if a.ny. in the world as you see it that need changing?—Any suggestions ns to how the changes might be brought about. . Now I have asked you plenty of questions. Any questions you would like to ask me I will try to answer in all honesty. The Bishop will enclose a personal letter and it -adds that identity will be treated in the strictest confidence.
