Friday’s closing prices for raw materials were as follow, those for July 9 being shown in parenthesi Ootton. —Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 6.85 d a lb (6.98 d); August delivery, 6.66 d a lb (6,85 d). Rubber.—Para, lOd a lb (same); plantation smoked ribbed, sheet, 9Jd a lb (9!d). Jute.—July-August shipment, Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £2l 7s 6d a ton (£2l 8s 9d). Copra,—July-August shipment, sun-dried South Seas, to London or Rotterdam, £ls 5s a ton (same); smoked, to Marseilles or Genoa, £ls 5s a ton., (same); plantation, Rabaul, to London or Rotterdam, £l6 2s 6d a ton (£l6 ss). Linseed oil. —£32 10s a ton (£32 ss). Turpentine.—37s a cwt (same).
