BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED.

PARTIES FOR MISS A. PEES. Miss Audrey Pees, of College Street, whose marriage to Mr J. On Thursday the lady members of the Public Trust Office staff, where Miss Pees has l>eon employed for the past nine years, held a five o’clock party in her honour. Miss Enid Christian gathered together a pnrtv of friends who visited the home of Miss Pees for a kitchen evening on Saturday also, when an enjovable time was sepnt. Miss Christian wore a floral frock. Miss Pees and Mrs Hunt wearing similar frocks of brown silk creoe with gold lame trimmings. Mrs L. A\ r . Gorman was hostess at a gift afternoon for Miss Pees on Saturday, which was hold at her home in Union Street. A fire blazed cheerily in the drawing-room, and winter roses, daphne, .grape hyacinths, and hull) flowers were arranged with charming effect. The hostess was wearing a smart frock of brown taffeta with lace trimmings, and she was assisted hv Mrs D. Varcoe, who wore a rust ensemble. Mrs C. Pees, mother of the bride-to-be, was present in a wine frock. A navy cloque tunic outfit with matching accessories and a musnuash fur coat was the choice of Miss Pees, her twin sister, Mrs H. L. Hunt (AA r ollington), being similarly attired, with a brown fur coat.
