SATURDAY’S GAMES. Broadway A continued on their winning way on Saturday, defeating Massey College in the principal senior hockey game at Hokowhitu. Phoenix were far too strong for Broadway B, who continue to remain at the bottom of the table. Results: Senior.—Broadway A 3 v. Massey College 0 ; Phoenix 7 v. Broadway B 0. Junior. —Combined Services G v. Broadway 2; Massey College 3 v. Phoenix 1.

Ladies. —High School Old Girls 5 v. Broadway 1 ; Public Services 1 v. Kauwhata 1; Awalmri 5 v. M.'iuawatu Knitting Mills 1. Intermediate. —Games postponed for two Saturdays on account of school holidays. • SENIOR GAMES. Although Broadway A did not have things entirely their own way, they always had the upper hand in their match with Ma.sscv College. In the first spell Ward scored .'ind in the second session Jones and O’Brien added goals. College were close to scoring on occasions, but the delonce was always too sound. Messrs E. AlcLachlan and R. Hoare were the umpires. Broadway B were hardly ever in the picture against Phoenix and the game very noon resolved itself into the question as to how nvniv goals Phoenix would win by. At half time the score was s—o. The second session was more evenly contested, chiefly through Phoenix being content to defend rather than attack. The scorers were J. Sutton (3). E. Pink (2). V. Turner and M. Scott. Messrs L. Martin and M. Levy were the umpires. THE JUNIORS. Combined Services played at their top form to defeat Broadway, but the game, was scarcely as one-sided .as the score might ineidate. Leader (3) and Byers (3) were the scorers for Services, while Thorlmru and Lyon netted for Broadway. The umpires were Messrs L. Martin and V. Turner.

Playing tlveir consistently good game, Masi-iev College proved too strong for Phoenix and ran out the winners by 3 goals to 1. Patchett was the scorer for Phoenix. Messrs AA’. Sutton and AA’. Phillips were the referees. LADIES’ COMPETITION.

'The principal match in the ladies’ competition' at Takaro Park was between High School Old Girls and Broadway, and although the former finished with a. lour-goal margin the game was anything hut one-sided. M secs AI. Kearns (3), E. Thomas and E. Glo.vn scored for the winners, while Miss H. Griffin netted for Broadway. Messrs AV. H. AVilson and D. AVilton umpired.

Public Services and Kauwhata were evenlv matched and the game finished in a draw. Miss N. Moore scored for Services and Miss M. Simeon for Kauwhata. The umpires were (Messrs D. AA’ilton and .J. K. Patou. Manawatu Knitting Mills stuck to it gamely against Awalmri who. however, rail up five goals in a ragged game. Afisses E. Bottcher (2). A. AVn.lker, D. Manson and 1. Mullins were the scorers for Awalmri. while Miss A. Anderson scored for M.K.M. Air AA . H. AVilson refereed.
