FORTY-HOUR WEEK.
MR W. J. JORDAN’S ORDERS
LONDON, July 18.
The High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan) has introduced the 40-hour week at the New Zealand Office. The staff musters half an hour earlier on week days and has Saturday free, except three officials to attend to visitors.
