Mr McAlister, who ban been on the staff of 11 10 Bank of New Zealand at Otaki for somo years, has received notice of his transfer to Eketahuna. Tho death occurred at To Horo yesterday of Mr George Burton Styles, a well-known and highly respected resident. At tho Otaki Railway Bowling Club’s euchre' tournament tho winners were Miss Roach and Mr D. Bishop (firsts) and Mrs Iliggott and Mr Bussell (seconds). A euchre party was organised last night by Mrs 11. Jacob to raise money for the Maori candidate in the Levin queen carnival. Supper was provided by Mrs Jacob. Mrs Newport and Mr J. Ransfield (fusts) and Mrs Wehipoihana and Mr Beauchamp (seconds) wore the prize-winners.
