DANNEVIRKE SALE.

Messrs Williams and Kettle, Lt., report having held their weekly Danncvirkc sale on Thursday, when a very big yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward. The sheep yarding included several special entries of breeding ewes, and a number of lots of good hoggets from local farmers. Competition was very strong throughout, sheep of all classes selling at improved prices. A good clearance was made in the cattle offering, the market being firm on recent sales. There was a very good attendance of buyers, Taranaki, tho Waikato, and the Manawatu being well represented. A lino of 102. 2-tli ewes. r.w. Romney rams, on account of Mr G. J. J. Buchanan realised 33s 6d, being the best price obtained for young owes in recent months. Sold in conjunction with the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., a special entry of breeding ewes from Mangatuna realised the following prices:
