TAIKOREA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TA IK ORE A, July 14. On Friday the Taikorea basketball team played Rangiotu 'at Taikorea. The foams were: Taikorea, Misses R. Hill, I. Murphy, B. Eichler, I. Ilehir, E. McDowall, D. Sullivan, I. Cornwall. D. Whitmore, and 11. Cooksley; Rangiotu, Misses D. Sargisson, P. Sargisson, P. Gimblett, M. Rickerby, P. Larkins, M Sirnmons, K. Dixon, A. Gimblett, and R. Russoll. Rangiotu won by 17 goals to 12. Mrs E. Graham was referee. On Monday, in the first game of tho new Monday competition, Rangiotu and Taikorea met again, Rangiotu again begin victorious by a substantial margin. Mr Larkins controlled tho game. Miss Ida Cornwall returned last week from Danneviike, where she has been on holiday. Other "holiday makers to return recently are Miss Joyce Smith, from Titahi Bay; Mr and Mrs Bufmiester, from Taranaki; Mr and Mrs Castle, from Wellington; and Miss B. Eichler, from Stratford. Mr A. Castle, first assistant, lias resumed work at tho Taikorea dairy factory, as lias Mr M. Whiteman, second assistant. The sympathy of their Taikorea friends is extended to Mr and Mi's G. Bailey, of Cooper’s Line, in the loss of their infant daughter.
