CORONATION BALL.

(From Our Own Corresnondent.) SANDON. July 16. The Plunkct Coronation ball which has long been postponed owing to the infantile paralysis epidemic will be remembered by those who were present in the Town Hall last evening as one of tbe most successful functions of this season. Fne 6^c ' cess wns due to tho untiring work of the committee. The hall in tbe same rose pink and gold decorations used by the Ulti Boys’ Association was made gayer by the addition of national flags. During the evening a most interesting ex -“|kition ballroom dancing was given by Miss 13et,n Parkes and her partner. Mr McKinnon (accordion) and others played extra dances while an excellent supper was served in the gaily decorated supper-room. Mrs K. McKelvie (president) was wearing navy georgette and silver and Mrs J. Bowater (vice-president), wine velvot; while the committee were Mrs B. Bawrence, black floral tinsel crene-de-chenc; Mrs F. Collier, appliqued taffeta and gold flowers on brown velour crepc-cle-chine: Mrs O. B*lern. black corded taffeta: Mrs A. Adams, mulberry cloque and silver; Mrs J. Currie, black satin and lace: Mrs H. Pearce, old gold satin beautc; Mrs Butler, black geor gette and satin. Among these present were : Mrs L. Scott, maize taffeta: Mrs A. K.
