WAIATA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIATA, June 5. A tolal of 4.84 inches of rain fell in Waiata during Dlay, this being considerably higher than the average May fall since 1913,'which was 3.80 in. The wettest Dlay of the period was in 1926, when 7.16 inches of rain fell, and the driest in 1922, when 1.24 inches were recorded.
