POST OFFICE REVENUE.
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 7. An increase of £40,522 in the revetftte of the Post and Telegraph Department for April, as compared with the same month last year, is reported by the Postmaster-General (Hon. F. Jones). The revenue for April amounted to £385,512, compared with £344,990 for the same month of the previous year. The main increases were :—Postages, £14.000; telegrams, £2300; tolls, £8500; telephones, £17,000. In the cable traffic the value shows an increase of 25 per cent. Savings Bank depeosits for April amounted to £3,104,4(53 and withdrawals to £2,363,192, the deposits for the rnonth being £651,271.
