ELIMINATION TRIALS. NEAVPORT, June 0. , Two further trials to select the defender of the America’s Cup resulted: The Ranger defeated the Yankee by 2min. ssec. over a 30-mile course. The Ranger defeated the Rainbow by 1 111 in. 58sec. over a 30-mile course.
The grand sacred concert to be held on Sunday, June 13, promises to give the public a fine programme. It is headed by St. Patrick’s choir. This will be the final appearance of Miss Mary Martin (violinist), and others will be Miss Marie Moffatt (pianist), Misses Molly Diedrich, Freda Doherty and Monica Lynch. As the booking has already boon heavy, intending patrons are advised to Ixiok immediately.
