HOME LEAGUE.
Despile the inclemency of the weather last night, there was a good attendance of patrons at the weekly ingleside dance in the Parish Hall. Mr G. Dick provided the music. Novelty dances were won by Miss J. Kent and partner and Miss Huddleston and purtner, while the lucky door tickets were held by Miss J. Healing and Mr R. Straw'bridge. An extra dance played by Mr G. Dick on a piano-aecordeon was appreciated. The evening was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
There was a good attendance o! members and friends at the weekly meeting of the Feilding florae Leagut held in the Young People's Hall. pleasant and instructive afternoon wa' spent. Mrs Mayhew, of Makino . gave a demonstration on the making of floor rugs from old garments anc, received a hearty vote of thanks. Mrs Tremain. the Home League secretary reminded members that a special effort was being made during tile month of June 'to increase the membership and all present were invited to bring a friend and thus assist. A great deal of interest was created when the secretary announced that the Power Board had offered to give an afternoon demonstration of cooking in the Young People’s Hall.
