FEILDING STOCK SALE.

SMALLER YARDINGS. Entries in both the sheep and cattle [ departments were smaller at the Feilding stock sale to-day. Fat ewes were penned in fair numbers, and were mostly of good quality. A full race of wethers from medium to good quality were penned, while lambs came forward in only fair numbers and in many cases the quality was indifferent. In the store sheep there was a good entry of breeding ewes, most of which were showing signs of age. Several l>ens of first-class wethers from hill country were included in the offering. The entry of lambs was not as large as seen at previous sales. With the exception of a very fine pen of 15U ewe lambs, the quality was mediocre. Only a fair yarding of dairy cattle were offered, and practically no run cattle. There was a lighter yarding of fat ex-dairy cattle and the usual yardings of boner cows and weaner heifers.
