FROZEN MEAT TRADE.
LAMB AND MUTTON FIRM The Blink of Australasia has received the following cable, dated June 2, from its London office: Frozen lambs. —For the last three weeks prices have been firmer owing to the betetr demand; position strengthened by gap in Now Zealand arrivals and the market continues firm. Frozen mutton. —Demand restricted at the beginning of month and market somewhat easier; lately have been more inquiries for wethers, which together with reduced supplies have caused hardening tendency. Ewes: Market continues dull, but Australian mutton selling freely. Frozen beef. —Supplies negligible at nominal prices.
