MARKET REPORT.
PRODUCE AND POULTRY. The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:—A good supply of fruit came forward during the week, the prices being firm on last week’s rates. Vegetables were in keen demand, high prices ruling for cauliflowers and lettuce. Although we had a yarding of poultry, thorp was not sufficient to supply the exceedingly heavy demand, good prices being realised for all lines. There was a good enquiry for pigs, but there was a very light entry. Wo quote:— Fruit.—Lemons, 10s 6d to 17s pc;' case; passion friut, 10s to 12s per case; Winter Colo pears, 10s to 12s 6d per case; _ tomatoes, coloured, 2s to 5s per case; ripe, 4s to 8s Id per case. Apples: Delicious, 5s to 7s 6d per case; Ballarats. 5s to 7s 6d per bushel; Stunners, 6s to 7s 6d per bushel; Statesman, 6s to 7s per bushel; Doughertics, 5s 6d to 7s per bushel; Granny Smith, 6s to 8s fid pei bushel. Parsnips, 3s 6d to 5s per case; rhubarb, 4s fid to 6.s per dozen; cauliflowers, 8s to 13s, per sack, 3s to 7s 6d per bag; cabbage, Is 6d to 3s 6d per bag; spinach. 4s to 6s per case; pumpkins, 8s 1o 10s 6d per sack; potatoes, £7 to £8 10s per ton; onions, 11s to 12s 6d per cental; marrows, 5s to 5s 6d per bag; lettuce. 5s to 11s per case; kumaras, 4s 6d to 5s 6d per sugar bag; carrots, Is to 3s per dozen; celery, 8s to 12s per ease; beetreot, 9d to Is 3d per dozen. Poultry.—Breeding cockerels. 5s to 7.s 3d each; heavy cockerels, 7s 6d to 9s 6d each; light breeds, 5s to 7s 6d each; fat roosters, 6s to 7s 6d per pair: light roosters. 5s to 6s 6d per pair; fat liens, 6s to 7s per pair; light hens, 3s 6d to 5s per pair; pullets, 3s 6d to 6s each; ducks, 4s 6d to 8s per pair; light turkeys, 7s 3d each. Pigs.—Good stores, 18s to 23s 6d. ,
