Another large increase of £609,839 is shown in sterling exchange, which now amounts to £22,327,095. Since May 3 sterling exchange has increased by £2.189,195. Gold remains unchanged at £2,801,791. Subsidiary coin, at £111,624, shows a decrease of £BO6. . , Advances to the State dairy industry account show a further decline of £200.458, the total now being £4,673,119. Advances to the State for other purposes remain unchanged at £200,000. Investments arc unchanged at £2,906,456 Other assets total £67,160, a decrease "of £2765. A decrease of £48,002 brings the note issue down to £12,974,590. Demand liabilities to the Sfßo total £7,383.790. an increase of £462,951. The trading banks’ reserve balances, at £10,133,953, show a decrease of £43,758. Other demand liabilities amount to £971.144, an increase of £39,754. Other liabilities total £123,761. a decrease of £5130. The statement balances at £33,087,239, an increase of £405,814.

To the order of Mr Thomas Hepburn, of Oamaru, there lias been shipped from Liverpool by Mr Henry Murdoch, Balgreen, Hollvbusli, Ayrashire, two three-year-old Clydesdale fillies and a three-year-old colt. \
