MONOWAI AT SEA AGAIN. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 3. For the first time in nearly a year the liner Monowai will put to sea tomorrow to replace the Aorangi in the Pacific service until the damaged crankshaft ot the Aorangi has been replaced. Several weeks were spent at the Western Wharf reconditioning the Monowai after her long period of inactivity. The liner moved this week to Queen’s Wharf. She will embark passengers to-morrow and sail for Sydney at noon. The work of providoring the large steamer has been of some magnitude and has occupied the stewards’ department of the company for several weeks. NEW ZEALAND COASTAL TRADE. TWO NEW SHIPS ORDERED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 3. The Union Steam Ship Company announces that orders have been placed in the United Kingdom for two new cargo vessels, one a coal-burning collier of 32d0 tons cargo dead-weight, and the other a motor vessel of about 2000 tons. The names selected are Korowai and Karitane. Roth ships are intended for the New Zealand coastal trade.
