MAYOR OF MONTS.
BUSY DISTRICT DOCTOR. Dr. Charles Mercier. who will marry the Duke of Windsor and Miss Wallis Warfiekl, was the other day inoculating children against scarlet fever. He is not only Mayor of Monts but also the district doctor. In his district, this kindly little man, with spectacles and a toothbrush moustache, brings all children into the world, certifies all deaths, and performs all"marriages. He has a small A-illa only a quarter of a mile from the Chateau de Cande. Most excited at the prospect of marrying the Duke, he is learning. English for the occasion.
