AEROPLANE WRECKAGE.
COOK STRAIT TRAGEDY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON .June 1. More wreckage, believed to be from the missing Western Federated Aero Club’s Gipsy Moth, which was lost when returning to New Plymouth from the South Island aero pageant, Hokitika, in March, has been found in the vicinity of Island Bay. The machine, which was piloted by Arthur Smith, Pungarehu, Taranaki, who had as passenger James Hamill, also of Pungarehu, is thought to have crashed into ‘the sea in the vicinity of Ohau/ Point, Makara, during a heavy fog.
