DAVIS CUP TEAM.
STATE Ob' PLAYERS’ HEALTH. MELBOURNE. June 1. The- Lawn Tennis Association of Australia has cabled the manager of the Australian Davis Cup team, Mr C. E. Sproulc, as follows: “In the players’ interest we suggest that you get medical advice on whether A. K. Qnist and V. B. McGrath will he fit to play at Wimbledon. If they are not, we desire them to return to Australia direct.” A New York message states that Mr C. E. Sproule, commenting on the cable, said; “McGrath unquestionably is fit to play at Wimbledon. Quist will be X-rayed to-morrow and the medical report will indicate whether or not he should return.” QUIST SPENDS GOOD NIGHT. Received June 2. 10.15 a.m. NEW YORK, June 1. Adrian Quist liad an easy night. The X-ray diagnosis of his ailment has been begun.
