THE HASTINGS TRIPLETS.
OFF TO WELLINGTON. ENTHUSIASTIC FAREWELL. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, May 31. The Anderson triplets, who were born in Hastings on Coronation Day, left Hastings by mail train this morning for Wellington, where they will enter the Karitnne Home. A large number of interested people witnessed their departure. The youngsters were snugly tucked up in baskets in the special carriage that had been arranged for them by the Minister of Railways (Hon. D. G. Sullivan) in response to Hon. W. E. Barnard’s representations. They were [accompanied by two Plunket nurses. As the train pulled out cheers were ■ given for the triplets, their parents i and nurses. Even the engine-drivers I were affected by the wave of entliKSliasm, for as the train approached the Herctaunga Street crossing, the whistle plaved a lively tune. The triplets appeared to be in excellent health and to be making good pi ogress. , , Mr E. L. Cullen, M.P., stated he was making representations to Hon. P. Fraser "to have the Kings Bounty conferred upon the youngsters.
The triplets, Mary, Rose and Elizabeth Anderson arrived in Wellington last night and were given a rousing reception:
