CAGE BIRDS.

AAV ARDS AT NEAV PLYMOUTH. Entries from all over the North Is-land-were received for the New Plymouth Canary and Cage Bird Club’s fifth annual show last week. Mr H.- E. Edmunds (Palmerston North) secured second place with his exhibit in the olive cock championship for budgerigars, and secured first and third places for sky blue cock. He also won the class for white breeding canary pairs. In the Norwich section for canaries the exhibit of Mr H. P. Ahrens (Pahiatua) won the sjiecial prize for green cock. The same exhibitor also- won the novice class for budgerigars and was second in the class for the best breeding pair. In the championship section, he secured first place for white hen slightly suffused, second for cobalt hen,: and second for sky blue hen. 1
