COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.

A very enjoyable evening was spent in the Ohakea Flail on Friday, when Nfr and Mrs Tremain entertained about eighty guests to celebrate the coming-ol’-age of their eldest daughter, Milly. The hours passed quickly with games, competitions, and dancing, the music being supplied by Mesdames Eedpath and Coleman and Mr H. McKinnon, Miss N. Masters rendering a solo. After supper Mr FI. Redpath proposed the toast of the guest of the evening and Mr Tremain presented his daughter with a large gold key, which all present autographed. Miss Tremain replied with a lew well-chosen words and then cut the cake, which was artistically decorated in toning with her frock. Mrs Tremain received her guests smartly attired in a frock of navy figured uncrushable crepe. Her daughter chose floral cloque taffeta, with a white silk velvet coatee.
